What do I need to know about tinnitus and dizziness?

Extensive discussions of tinnitus (ear noises) and dizziness are beyond the scope of this text and are covered in other publications. However, it is important to be aware that they commonly occur in associating with hearing loss. It is also important to recognize that, contrary to the opinion of many physicians, neither tinnitus nor dizziness is necessarily incurable. Like hearing loss, thorough evaluation may lead to important and/or treatable causes for these conditions, and they should not be ignored.
